Biological Recirculating Toilet The biological toilet system “RECICO” from the company AKW A+V PROTEC is a half-closed waste management facility that distinguishes itself from alternative chemical toilet and collection tank system solutions by its high operating efficiency.

RECICO is ideal for use in scenarios where there are no sewage facilities or in locations where such facilities are impractical for economic and ecological reasons. Sewage is treated on-site, in one of the mini purification plants integrated into the sanitary equipment. As part of the recirculation process, the processed waste water is re-used as service water for toilet flushing. Sludge residues are disposed of at intervals of several months (around 4- 12 months, depending on dimensions). High costs resulting from regular extraction at short intervals or from chemical toilet consumables are avoided. A power outlet is the sole operational requirement (as an alternative, an optional photovoltaic facility can also be used).
