AKW A+V Protec has its roots in the railway sector and in the building industry

• 2003 - Company name changed to AKW A+V Protec GmbH, a subsidiary of AKW Apparate + Verfahren Holding GmbH u. Co. KG.
• 2000 - Take over by the company Nagler Metalltechnik GmbH.
• 1999 - Admission by the Eisenbahnbundesamt EBA. Then series production and further prototype equipment construction
• 1996 - Company Schaltbau Munich becomes chief partner.
• 1995 - Patent application world-wide, first assignation.
• 1993 - Installation of first prototype equipment in rail vehicles; Start of series production of sanitary equipment with biological waste water purification.
• 1992 - Protec GmbH is founded by a consortium of respective railway suppliers and building companies
